This policy explains what personal information Available Now Stays collects, why, and what your rights are. Available Now Stays is run by Good Shout Digital Ltd (company number 17463423), registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. What we collect

Owner accounts: your name, email address and password (stored encrypted), and the details you add to your listings, including contact details you choose to show guests, photos and calendar links.
Guest messages: when you message an owner, your name, email address, optional phone number, your dates, number of guests and your message.
Contact form: your name, email address and message.
Technical information: like most websites, our host keeps server logs (such as IP addresses and browser type) for security. To limit spam we store a scrambled (hashed) version of the connection address with each message.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To run your owner account and show your listings to guests (to perform our agreement with you).
To pass a guest’s message to the owner they chose to contact (to provide the service you asked for).
To answer messages sent to us (our legitimate interest in responding).
To keep the site secure and stop spam and misuse (our legitimate interest).
To meet legal obligations, for example keeping business records.

We don’t sell your information and we don’t use it for advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

Owners: if you message an owner, they receive your message and contact details so they can reply.
Guests: owners’ listing details, including any contact details they choose to show, are public.
Service providers who help run the site: our web host (Hostinger), our email delivery provider, OpenStreetMap (map images and place searches) and unpkg (map software). Map and place requests send your browser’s IP address to those services.
Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to protect it.

How long we keep it

Owner accounts and listings: while your account is open. When you ask us to close it, we delete your account and listings within 30 days, except where we must keep records by law.
Guest messages: kept in the owner’s inbox until the owner deletes them, then for a further 12 months in case of a dispute, then deleted for good.
Contact form messages: up to 2 years.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@availablenowstays.com. We’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.
